Wilson settles for fair result

Hartlepool manager Danny Wilson admitted that a draw was the fairest result on an unbelievable afternoon at The Vic which was more suited to fans than managers. He told the official Pools website, "If anyone complains about the entertainment value today they may as well stay at home and read a book. It was a simply fantastic game of football - perhaps not for the managers but certainly for the fans and any neutrals that were here today."

"The game had everything really, all kinds of ups and downs and in the end we've come out level. Beforehand I had a feeling something like this could happen because I know the way John Sheridan sets his teams up and I know how I set my teams up - it's for entertainment."
