Wolfey gets another important goal

Matty Wolfenden is making a habit of hitting important goals. He hit the winner at Accrington recently after the side were two goals down and on Saturday he scored the equalising goal against Crewe Alexandra in another comeback from a 2-0 deficit.

Wolfey told Latics World, "I'm just glad to come on and make a difference, and thankfully I got a goal and helped the team. It was just about getting a touch to glance it into the corner. It was a great ball by Chris Taylor and all I had to do was get something on it. Luckily it went in. I thought the keeper had saved it, but he seemed to push it in. When you've come back from 2-0 down you'll take a draw, but we obviously wanted to push on and had chances after my goal too. Then Neil Kilkenny came up with a great finish on his left foot."

"It was a special moment as it was my first goal at Boundary Park, and to score it in front of the Chaddy End was a good feeling. Team selection isn't up to me, but I'm happy coming off the bench to make chances for other players too. Obviously I always think I can score. I've been getting chances and have been unlucky not to score. As long as I'm getting those chances hopefully the goals will keep coming."
