The Latics improved league results continued at Daggenham and Redbridge as they came away with a 1-0 win and another useful three points. Manager Paul Dickov described it as his most pleasing performance of the season and although the performance on the field was not of the same calibre as last weeks success against Huddersfield he was pleased with the wat his team battled for its third away win of the campaign.

A debut goal from on-loan Leeds United player Aidy White was all that was needed to secure the success and to inflict only the second home league defeat of the season for the Daggers. Reuben Hazell and Jean-Yves M'voto were immense in the centre of defence and Latics keeper Dean Brill had a great game to help keep back-to-back clean sheets.

Dickov (pictured) said, "We knew it was going to be a difficult game as they put opponents under lots of pressure. I am delighted with the result, clean sheet and the performance. As good as we were last week, that was probably the most satisfying and pleasing win we have had so far. The lads have had to dig in deep as they put us under a lot of pressure but, as a team and as individuals, I thought we were magnificent. I was delighted with the attitude and the application and the players gave me everything. They all stood up, and it was a real man's performance."

The decisive goal came in the 57th minutes after Oumare Tounkara had been released by Chris Taylor. He really is putting himself about and is improving with every game and after his powerful run he shot and watched as it was blocked only to fall invitingly for White who scored his first ever senior goal from the acutest of angels. Minutes later Taylor was unlucky after his effort was turned over the crossbar by the home keeper. The Daggers pushed for an equaliser but the Latics held strong to clinch their third successive league win. With Exeter and Rochdale to come this week, the lads could find themselves sitting pretty after next Saturday if the current form continues.
