The Latics fought out a second successive goalless draw last night against Northampton Town. New signings Charles Dunne and Calaum Jahraldo-Martin made their debuts in the game. It was a very defensive game with the best first half chance coming from Lee Erwin who saw his effort kicked off the line. Connor Ripley only had one first half save to make from a free kick, from which the rebound was blasted over.

Northampton made it 27 games undefeated with the point they gained but it could have been won by Jahraldo-Martin at the death but his 18 yard effort sailed over the bar. Onwards to Bury where the Latics hope to claim their first win of the season.
