The Latics maintained their unbeaten start to the season in an uninspiring 0-0 draw at home to Yeovil Town, the team who seem to becoming one of Oldham's bogey teams.

Manager Paul Dickov was pleased with the players attitudes after the match and commented, "The biggest thing for me is that the lads are in the changing room acting as though they have been beaten, such are the high standards they have set. If you had told me when I took the job that we would be unbeaten after our first four league games, I would have been delighted. They stifled us which you have to give them credit for. That won't be the first time that happens as the lads are getting respect off other teams. When that happens we have to be cleverer so that we can break down teams."

Chris Taylor missed a good chance to open the scoring but he brought a great diving save form the Glover's keeper which denied him his first goal of the season. Ritchie Jones, Dale Stephens and Reuben Hazell were also unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. Dean Brill made some useful saves but he almost lost his credibility after late a mix-up with Hazell which they somehow incredibly escaped without being severely punished. It was a move somewhat reminiscent of last season and one which Brill had seemed to overcome with his new found confidence this season. We'll have to hope it was just a one-off!

Both teams had what looked like stone-clad penalty chances turned down so the result was probably a fair reflection of how the game went. Yeovil obviously set out their stall to stop the Latics scoring and it worked.
