The latics fans watched in horror as their team let two points slip away once again when they shared the points in a 1-1 draw with Leyton Orient. It was particularly frustrating for Paul Dickov as he watched his side dominate the match only to succumb to a late equaliser from the visitors.

Manager Paul Dickov commented, "It ought to have been three points and once again we have lost a goal from a set-piece. It was down to individual errors which has happened again despite us working repeatedly on cutting them out of our game. I will not accept that. The only way to eradicate mistakes is on the training ground which we will again be doing on Monday. When you are creating chances and not scoring, it is important to keep a clean sheet."

Oldham took the lead through Chris Taylor (pictured) five minutes before half time after Kieran Lee squared the ball for him to side foot home his third goal of the season. Orient equalised on the hour after McGleish turned in a Daniels' corner. In a bid to regain the advantage, Dickov changed to a 3-4-3 formation with central defender Jean-Yves M'voto pushing up front and it almost paid off as M'voto had two chances to score in the dying minutes but neither were converted.

Dickov added, "We aren't going to win every game but we should have won this one. When we were in front at half time I told the players that the most important things were to pick people up at set-pieces and make sure we kept a clean sheet. We are conceding too many goals at set-pieces and we have worked on that in training, but now it has happened again. It is a mental thing. I will give my players all the praise in the world when they deserve it but here they did not do the basics right. When you are not scoring a lot of goals it is vital that you do not concede at the other end. It isn't as though we didn't create many chances because we could have been further in front. I am very disappointed not to finish with three points."
