The Latics staged a great fight back at Boundary Park after going behind to in form Bournemouth on Saturday. The Cherries took the lead just before half time but late goals from Kieran Lee and Oumare Tounkara (pictured) completed a great recovery as Oldham managed the great escape and scooped three points. The match and performance was not out of the top drawer but the result was a welcome one and hoisted the Latics back into the play-off spots.

Manager Paul Dickov said, "I am delighted with the character and team spirit the boys showed coming back from 1-0 behind. We knew it would be a tough battle as Bournemouth are a good side and they have turned over a few good teams. What impressed me was our determination to go and win the game. We were down about it in the second half at Peterborough, but today they showed they want to learn and not make the same mistakes again. There is a fantastic togetherness as you saw at the end. We tell them to have a huddle before the game and not at the end which they did on their own back. And if they have that togetherness, they always have a chance."

The introduction of Dean Kelly who replaced Dean Furman became the turning point of the match as the Latics moved to a 4-3-3 formation in an attempt to become more attack minded, and it paid off as they managed to hold on to the lead.
