Alan Hardy resumes his duties

Former Latics Chief Executive Alan Hardy has returned to work at Boundary Park after being suspended by former owner Chris Moore. Mr. Hardy was in the process of taking legal action against the club but following his re-appointment he has now dropped the action. The new board realised that there was a mounting backlog of administrative tasks to be completed and Hardy’s experience just fits the bill leaving the board to concentrate on the day to day operations of the club.

On his reinstatement, Mr. Hardy said, “There was no reason why I shouldn't have been here for the last three months helping Sean and Neil rescue the club from the hands of Chris Moore. What I am absolutely delighted about is now being able to work with Barry Chaytow, Sean and Neil because it is important that we try and get the club on an even footing as quickly as possible. There's three months of work to try and catch up with and I am just trying to plough through that as quickly as possible. I was delighted when Barry Chaytow contacted me this week and asked for a chat which culminated in me coming back. I'm looking forward to getting back into it and looking forward to the first game of the season.”
