Betsy in talks with Latics (and Clyde won't be signing)

After Clyde Wijnhard's possible move to Oldham looks like it's off for good, Oldham are in talks with Barnsley to sign Kevin Betsy.

Wijnhard missed Oldham's deadline to accept their contract offer, so a second spell at Boundary Park now appears to be a no-go.

Apparently whilst in talks with Oldham officials, Clyde popped out for a phone call, and didn't come back.

Betsy, the former Fulham right-winger, was made available for transfer in the summer, and has spent one month this season on loan at Hartlepool.

Hartlepool and Port Vale are also keen to sign Seychelles born Kevin, who scored 11 goals in last season's campaign, and scored once for Hartlepool in his recent loan spell.

Betsy is at this moment negociating a pay-off from Barnsley, so will become a free agent. This means he can be signed during the transfer window.
