The two US based potential buyers have agreed a price
Boundary Park could once again become one of Athletic’s assets as the two US based potential buyers have agreed a price of around £4.6 million with Oldham Council. It is expected that the stadium and the surrounding land will change hands within weeks. The duo have already ploughed £400,000 into Athletic to keep Athletic afloat for October and November and the investors see the ground as the final piece of the jigsaw to make the buy-out complete.Boundary Park buy-out could happen in weeks

If the deal comes off the 20-acre site could be redeveloped for retail, leisure facilities or housing or even a mix of all three. The main thing is that Boundary Park will remain intact and Athletic will continue to share the ground with Oldham Roughyeds.
The Lookers Stand is expected to be upgraded although it may take a couple of years before it is completed. When OPP bought the land for £3 million a clause was inserted which would allowed the Latics to re-purchase it for a similar price. If all parties agree in principle to the take over, the deal could be completed before the next Football League meeting on December 9th.
