Brighton prepare double swoop

Brighton are preparing a double swoop for Craig Davies and ex-Latics star midfielder Neil Kilkenny (pictured). Davies has seen himself slip down the pecking order at Boundary Park since his sending off at Rochdale in the early season League Cup game. Speculation is that there has been a falling out with manager John Sheridan and he has since been on loan at League One rivals Stockport County. Davies signed for £50,000 from Italian club Verona 18 months ago and has recently found himself out of the starting sixteen.

Kilkenny is currently at Leeds on a £150,000 three and a half-year contract and has made 21 appearances this season but has not featured since Simon Grayson replaced Gary McAllister as manager.
