Corazzin set to sign for Vancouver Whitecaps

Carlo Corazzin could be returning to the Vancouver Whitecaps when he has straightened out his finances with the Latics. Corazzin’s contract is up in late July and the Latics have already informed him they don't want him back for next year. The 31-year-old forward from Kelowna is waiting for his final pay cheque. He can sign now, but he would forfeit the money owed to him. Teams sometimes pay players out early, but the current cash crisis at Boundary Park means that this is impossible as all bank accounts are currently frozen.

“It's very frustrating,” said Corazzin, who was working out with the Whitecaps on Thursday. “I want to find out where I am headed and what I am doing with my life. It's part and parcel with the job. I'm trying to stay focused, trying to stay fit.” Corazzin has talked to other A-League teams but he said, "I've always wanted to come back to Vancouver."
