Goalkeeper Steve Corry, who was on loan at Boundary Park last season, has signed a deal from 1st. July which will see him return to the Latics for a three month period. Corry, a commanding 6’-5” goalie, will provide cover for Les Pogliacomi and the former Rushden and Diamonds keeper was rewarded after some outstanding displays for the reserves last season. Talbot said, “It’s effectively another trial period for Steve and if he does well we will keep him as our number two goalkeeper. If he doesn’t come up to scratch we will release him, so he has a good challenge ahead.”
