Davies goal could be return to goalscoring form

It appears that the form of Craig Davies could be on the up. Davies has been struggling to find the net over recent weeks and confidence is very important to a striker so he was delighted to get back on the scoresheet after his penalty shot struck the back of the net in Saturdays loss at Swansea City. It was his first goal in 12 outings and it should be enough to lift the 22 year old's morale and hopefully see a return to form for the clubs still leading goalscorer with 11 goals.

Manager John Sheridan said, "The goal is a boost for Craig, and I'm pleased for him because he hadn't scored for a while. Hopefully he will kick on from here and keep listening to the people around him because there are a lot of things he needs to learn. I want to see him spend more time in the penalty area."

"Getting into the Wales squad is good for him as well because he'll be working with experienced coaches and training with good players. He's a frustrating player who needs to learn about playing simple football, but if he wants it he has got the ability. You get found out if you don't take care of the ball, especially at international level, so hopefully he will work on that. It's a big step up from our level to international football, but the experience will do him no harm at all."
