Has the tide turned?

The Latics (and especially the fans) are excited to announce that the rumoured signing of striker Danny Rowe from AFC Fylde has been completed. Rowe has put pen to paper for an undisclosed fee on an 18-month deal at Boundary Park. Rowe joined the Coasters in 2014 and scored 35 times in his first season. He followed this up with a credible 31 goals in his next season. When Fylde won promotion to the National League in the 2016/17 season, he chipped in with an amazing 48 goals in 49 games and won the the National League North Player of the Season award.

Rowe began his career at Manchester United and joined Fleetwood Town in 2010 before moving to Edgeley Park where he scored eight goals in 15 matches for Stockport County. Rowe is available for Saturday's game at home to Carlisle United and should boost the crowd in what is supposed to be a boycotted game by a fans group. Let's hope the club owner has seen the error of his ways and we hope this could finally be the turning point for the club. Onwards and upwards!
