It will cost more to watch Athletic at Boundary Park next season. The club has decided to increase admission prices for adults by £2 and the cost for juniors and OAPs will go up by £1. A new pricing structure, which takes into consideration the new salary cap and the increasing costs of stadium maintenance, will come into effect as the new season commences.

Simon Corney said, “Increasing the ticket prices is not something we wanted to do, more a case of what is needed. It is our aim to revolutionise the club. These plans are under way with obviously a lot more to do. However, in order for the club to get back on its feet we have to examine all areas and ticket prices is one area that we need to address. The club continues to make losses but if we put Athletic back on a strong financial basis a lot of our aspirations will be realised.”
