Killen injury hits a setback

The injury to Chris Killen has hit a setback. His broken foot meant that he was expected to be out until the New Year, but doctors have recently advised that his absence could go as late as the end of February. Iain Dowie want’s the injury cured once and for all and said, “Chris is still a young player, so he can’t afford to come back too soon and risk breaking down again. It’s a huge shame both for him and for us. He had a terrific game against Port Vale a few weeks ago and was starting to hit some form.”

In the light of this news, manager Dowie is chasing a foreign player with a Premiership club who can play up front or in midfield but he want’s the player’s name to remain a secret as the player needs a new work permit to make the switch to Boundary Park. Government red tape has also thrown a spanner into the works but Dowie still hopes to make a loan signing before the match at Chesterfield.
