Latics set for cash bonus?

Athletic will know today whether or not their game against Manchester City in the FA Cup on 8th. January will be televised. If the game is on the box the club will receive a massive £150,000 as a bonus. The BBC have already decided that the Yeading v Newcastle and Plymouth v Everton game will be shown. Sky TV will show the Burnley v Liverpool game.

Athletic have picked up £115,000 already with a £40,000 prize money payment and a £75,000 appearance fee from the round one Thurrock game. They also netted around £80,000 from the Carling Cup tie at home to Tottenham Hotspurs. Alan Hardy said, “The money would be a very nice bonus, so we’ve got our fingers crossed.”
