Ronnie Moore was still upbeat although he has major selection problems in defence for the trip to Chesterfield. Moore told the official website, "Injuries and suspensions leave us short. We have got Danny Hall (pictured) and Stefan Stam who both came through 90 minutes in yesterdays reserve match with no problems but it is up to Lee Nobes and Stefan to decide whether or not he is available for selection on Saturday. The balance would be a lot better with Stam in the side. All the suspensions have come at the wrong time for us, Branston and Owen. We are short on the left hand side and we will miss a domineering centre half.“

“Forbes is like a rash, he likes to chase and close people down. Scott is more of a sweeper than a marker and Danny Hall is more of a footballer than he is a centre back. We will have to work hard and concentrate on dealing with the second ball in rather than the first. This is a massive game for us on Saturday. Chesterfield are up there in the League now and after we turned them over earlier on in the season they will definitely be out for a little bit of revenge. If we are positive, we definitely look like we are going to get goals. I don't see any reason why we still can't win the game even with our suspensions. We need to see more of Eddy (Paul Edwards). Brentford made sure he did more defending than attacking but his pace and delivery is a breath of fresh air to the squad. We have definitely got a lot we can work with there."
