More bad news for Poggsy

It's bad news for Les Pogliacomi once again. After surgery on his troublesome knee, the surgeon has now told him that he will be sidelined for three months, not the three weeks as was originally diagnosed.

His original knee operation at the start of the season was not successful and required further surgery, but during that surgery the doctors found evidence of microfractures within the knee. This means that Poggsy must now rest and then begin a rehabilitation programme.

The news means that, with only trainee players as back up, manager John Sheridan must consider bringing in another keeper or taking someone on loan as extra cover until the big Aussie returns to duty.
