With the transfer window now open, the first Boundary Park signing is that of Burnley's 21-year-old midfielder, Christian N'Guessan. Signed from Blackpool in 2017, the youngster was on a two year contract at Turf Moor with the option to extend by another 12 months which has now been taken up. N'Guessan has been training with the Latics recently and has signed a loan deal for the remainder of the season.

I've been monitoring his progress for a while. He's been training with us for a couple of weeks now and has settled in really well.”
